  • Bible Reading Challenge

We want to use this time to continue growing our relationship with the Lord by developing a rhythm of spending time in the Word daily. Over the next several weeks we're going to ready one passage a day together. We'll post a short video each day on our social media accounts of one person discussing what God is teaching them in the reading for that day.

    How to Study the Bible

There are many ways to study and learn Scripture. An important part of Bible study is  figuring out a rhythm that works best for you. If you are new to consistently reading scripture or if you are looking for a new method try this one:

    • What do you see in this passage?
    • What do you observe happening in this passage?
    • What is the main idea the author is trying to communicate in this passage?
    • What sticks out to you when read this passage?
    • Are any words or phrases repeated?

    • Who is the author of this passage? Why did they include the details they included in this passage? What is the author’s intent?
    • What is the context?
    • What is God communicating in this passage?

    • What should you do after reading this passage?
    • What commands/instructions are laid out in this passage?
    • Is there an example for me to follow in this passage?
    • Are there particular sins I need to repent and turn away from?
    • Is there a verse I should memorize that will help me grow closer to Jesus?

During this season, it's important that we stay connected to each other.
